What to Expect From a Lactation Consultation

Assessment
We’ll review your birth details and medical history, then complete a thorough clinical assessment of both you and your baby. Your baby’s oral function will also be assessed to evaluate feeding reflexes, sucking strength, coordination, and overall feeding skills.

Hands-On Help
We’ll provide personalized guidance on effective latch, positioning, and feeding techniques. During our visit, we’ll use a medical-grade scale to assess how much breast milk your baby transfers during a feeding and monitor your baby’s growth over time. If feeding tools such as a supplemental nursing system or nipple shield are needed, they’ll be provided at no additional cost. We can also provide support with breast pumps, flange fitting, supplementation, and bottle feeding.

Personalized Plan
We will answer all your questions and provide a simple feeding plan that aligns with your feeding goals, giving you the confidence to care for your little one.

Ongoing Support
We will be available for questions regarding your care plan and will check in with you after our appointment to make sure your feeding plan is working well. Additionally, a comprehensive clinical report will be faxed to your pediatrician to ensure seamless, coordinated care for your baby.

I provide all self pay clients with a superbill to pursue reimbursement for our visit from their insurance company. I accept cash, debit, credit, and HSA cards.

Initial 90-minute visit: $200
Follow-up 60-minute visit: $175
Twins: Initial 2-hour visit: $250 | Follow-up 75-minute visit: $200
Pumping & Flange Fitting Consultation
Initial 60–90-minute visit: $175
Follow-up 60-minute visit: $150
Prenatal Consultation
60–90-minute visit: $150
